HUGO CHAVEZ LOSES

Here is a thumbs up to the folks in Venezuela for handing their Marxist leader a defeat in his plans for further his socialist agenda and quest for total power. Hopefully, they will send him packing as well. I am always amazed at how some cultures tolerate dictators. When is the world going to learn from history and finally reject these failed policies that have brought ruin and oppression to everyone who has tried it?
To our own (un)Americans in the USA such as the United Methodist Church, Jimmy Carter and others that love all Marxist Dictators, all is not lost. Vladimir Putin was victorious in Russia. I'm sure the prospect of returning them to their old Soviet glory must be encouraging. And Hey, Fidel is still alive.

If you believe in God, as I do, the birth of Jesus is an event you should acknowledge and celebrate.I do not believe in the deity of Jesus, but Jesus should be honored for his contributions to reasoned religion and deism. He made the effort to teach the principles of Gods'law and to encourage society to practice them. He also paid the ultimate price for teaching this ideals.
We honor many many historic figures on their birthdays, and although Jesus was not born on December 25th, it is as good a day as any.
